Starting Dec. 16, 2011, I issued a challenge to myself to take and post a photo a day. Beyond that, there are no rules. It can be something I shot for my work at the paper or a client, or it may be a personal photo. But for 366 days - 2012 is a leap year, y'all - I will pick up a camera and take a shot and share it.

March 28, 2012 - In a very busy day playing A&E editor at the H-L, I did not have many chances to take any pictures today. But I did want to put up a Facebook promo for the "cheer card" we will have in Friday's Weekender section. So I walked over to my colleague Scorch, the biz scribe, and asked him to hold it up so we could get the hands gripping the card, like they should in the Superdome Saturday and Monday. True, this may have looked cooler in front of Rupp Arena or something, but we didn't have that kind of time today. (104/366)

  • Feb. 28, 2012 - I haven't had much of No. 1 daughter in this project, so here she is footing around before dinner tonight. The new thing here is a photo shot on and uploaded via phone. It's a scary world, people. (75/366)

  • March 11, 2012 - Though there were other things I thought I'd end up posting today, I kept coming back to this Vignette app shot of Chocolate. It's softer focus than I like - Friday's cat shot shows how sharp that thing can get - but it is very her. (87/366)
