Starting Dec. 16, 2011, I issued a challenge to myself to take and post a photo a day. Beyond that, there are no rules. It can be something I shot for my work at the paper or a client, or it may be a personal photo. But for 366 days - 2012 is a leap year, y'all - I will pick up a camera and take a shot and share it.

  • Aug. 3, 2012 - OK, when you are taking a picture a day, sometimes it doesn't work, and I won't claim to be nuts about this one. Partially through a drive downtown, I decided to try shooting some city lights with my phone. I really wish I had one of my DSLRs, and I probably would have been better off on foot. (232/366)
  • Aug. 4, 2012 - Sometimes you take a picture because you're amused. I was cleaning the basement when I noticed the childhood toys like a Barbie doll and Play-Doh packed in an Abercrombie bag clearly targeted at a slightly older demographic. Abercrombie, by the way, sells clothes. (233/366)

  • Aug. 20, 2012 - I'd actually taken some closeups of another cat on one of my DSLRs, inspired by cat closeups I saw from another photographer. But then Cole plopped down and presented this pose (he looks reflective, doesn't he) I shot with my phone, so that's what I am going with. (249/366)
