366

Starting Dec. 16, 2011, I issued a challenge to myself to take and post a photo a day. Beyond that, there are no rules. It can be something I shot for my work at the paper or a client, or it may be a personal photo. But for 366 days - 2012 is a leap year, y'all - I will pick up a camera and take a shot and share it.

Dec. 12, 2012 (362/366)

  • Nov. 12, 2012 - A remnant of fall on my car window on a rainy November day. (332/366)
  • Nov. 13, 2012 - Science Fair! (333/366)
  • Nov. 16, 2012 - This tree next to our deck has been defiantly green until the last few days when it went all burning bush on us. (336/366)
  • Nov. 18, 2012 - Pretty good day for the Copley kids. He played his first concert with the CKYO concert orchestra (and donned a tux for the first time) and she was formally elected as a Deacon in our church. (338/366)
  • November 19, 2012 - I know what I'm going to be doing May 25: Shooting Angie and Jeremy's wedding and having a lot of fun, if our engagement session at Keeneland was any indication. Working with them, it sure didn't seem like a cloudy Monday. (339/366)
  • Nov. 28, 2012 - Birthday donuts that may jeopardize chances of making it to 46. (348/366)
  • Nov. 29, 2012 - Once again, birthday eats: yummy, not necessarily conducive to long-term health. (349/366)
  • Nov. 30, 2012 - It's that time of year. (350/366)
  • Dec. 2, 2012 - We recently underwent an renovation in the Maxwell Street Presbyterian Sanctuary. One of the aims was to lower the wall in front of the choir loft, which is why I so loved being able to get this clean shot of the choir on the first Sunday of Advent. (352/366)
  • Dec. 6, 2012 - Sometime, when it's raining, I want to get out and really work on some light-on-the pavement shots. I really did not have time to do that this day, but grabbed this one while sitting at a stoplight. (356/366)
  • Dec. 7, 2012 - I actually took some better photos this day but cannot show them because the client is giving them as a gift. After a beautiful fall of shooting leaves and trees, this to me illustrates we are now in the bleak season. (357/366)
  • Nov. 22, 2012 -- Thanksgiving family picture. (342/366)
  • Nov. 21, 2012 - Fallen. (341/366)
  • Nov. 20, 2012 - Babysitting night. (340/366)
  • Dec. 8, 2012 - No. 1 daughter in one of her choice scenes in Bryan Station High's production of "For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf." Again, I love cast reaction shots. (358/366)
  • Dec. 10, 2012 - At our perch in the newsroom, we regularly see accidents at the dangerous corner of Short Street and Midland Avenue. But the death of bicyclist Jason Baines on Oct. 24 was particularly disquieting - the accident actually changed my regular route to work. The white bike on the light pole is a "Ghost Bike" in Baines' memory. (360/366)
  • Dec. 11, 2012 - Early morning sun on Lexington Center. (361/366)
  • Dec. 12, 2012 (362/366)
  • Dec. 13, 2012 - The Bryan Station music ensembles' holiday concert. (363/366)
  • Dec. 14, 2012 - No. 1 son, caught in action. (364/366)
