Starting Dec. 16, 2011, I issued a challenge to myself to take and post a photo a day. Beyond that, there are no rules. It can be something I shot for my work at the paper or a client, or it may be a personal photo. But for 366 days - 2012 is a leap year, y'all - I will pick up a camera and take a shot and share it.

Sept. 30, 2012 - We got together with Damarcus for the lacrosse portion of our senior shoot Sunday afternoon after a practice for the Lafayette lacrosse team. I've barely had a chance to look at the shots yet, but Damarcus was really into the session and willing to play around and experiment a bit, including on this shot. (292/366)

  • Sept. 13, 2012 - I had been struck by the sight of sun coming through the leaves in the tree in our front yard when I'm getting ready to leave in the morning. (273/366)
  • Sept. 15, 2012 - Another morning light shot, but very different from Thursday's sun peeking through tree leaves. This first sunlight on a very beige house, and it's contrast with the blue sky caught my eye shortly after waking. I was really impressed with the straight camera on my phone, which got the exposure spot on in 8 MP. (275/366)
  • Sept. 16, 2012 - Shooting pictoral directory photos for the church gave Keller and I a chance to finally get a photo of him in his Marine gear. (276/366)

  • Sept. 22, 2012 -- My Cousin Sharon, aka the mother of the bride, awaits her daughter's appearance at the wedding. (282/366)
  • Sept. 25, 2012 - I have been wanting to take this one since we put in our new floor earlier this month. Our rubber mallet has been through two floor installations, numerous paint jobs, and other projects. They seem to finally be taking a toll, but it keeps serving us. (285/366)

  • Oct. 1, 2012 - Whenever I see birds gathering on power lines, I think of the PBS commercial with the composer looking for inspiration who sees the birds on the lines and plays what they are lined up as. Alas, I don't think this would sound terribly interesting. (293/366)
