Photography, I have been told, is a process of constantly solving problems.
This was our problem getting a few post-holiday shots of River in her Christmas dress: We had settled on a location that we thought was still decked out for Christmas, but found all the decorations had come down the day before we arrived. So, we quickly came up with some alternative settings, including grabbing one of the recently disassembled trees and doing a little redecorating.
It was not what we had planned -- River backed by the beautiful bokeh of a huge, glistening tannenbaum. But we showcased River's fun repertoire of expressions and her beautiful dress, handmade by her mother, proprietor of The Running River custom children's clothing. Maybe she can make one for your child.
