When I first met Kimberly and Landon, I knew we were dealing with a very Kentucky couple from their love of the Wildcats to their taste for horse racing. We shot their engagement session out at Keeneland, and on their wedding day, there was talk of taking some wedding party shots around the piece of the UK basketball court that sits out in front of Rupp Arena — time can be fleeting on wedding days.

The wedding took place at a historic Lexington Church, Maxwell Street Presbyterian, which provides a beautiful backdrop for the ceremony in its sanctuary and numerous locations around the campus that are perfect for wedding party photos.

Then we were off to the Barrel House, where they clearly know how to host wedding receptions, and we learned Kimberly’s dad clearly knows how to cut a rug.

This was the second wedding for Kimberly and Landon. They had a small ceremony to get their life together underway last summer. But they wanted to have the big ceremony to party, and they sure made the most of it.

Many thanks to Mark Mahan for fantastic support on this wedding.
