Now we can post these pictures. I got together with Jade and her brother and cousin, at her mom’s request, a few weeks before Christmas for a quick photo session to round out some gifts, so we didn’t want to post them too soon.
This quickie, late-afternoon shoot demonstrated two things: You do not have to have a big plan or production to get some nice photos. This was all done around a downtown home with a minimum setup. But we got the faces their relatives wanted to see, and that’s what’s important.
A subject does not have to look at the camera for an engaging shot. As you can also see, the youngest was not exactly interested in me and my camera for a lot of images. But that was OK. For the style of shot we were doing, her spunk and personality came through just fine.
It’s also just a wonderful aspect of this job that you get to be part of making memories like these.
